CIRP is an international think tank established by an international
network of academics who share the aims,
mission, and the working principles laid out in this statute and are signatory
to it.
CIRP has the mission of achieving decentralized cooperation in order to
improve and sustain the universally accepted values of fundamental freedoms,
human rights, democracy, pluralism, cross-cultural cooperation, cultural
dialogue and exchange, economic development and social welfare on international
platform in general, and in Europe and the Mediterranean in particular.
CIRP targets to develop the 21st century concept of "progressive governance"
through the medium of decentralized cooperation and the active partneship
of citizens. Thus it aims to achieve pluralism, transparency, and accountability
in the policy-making.
CIRP aims to cover wide variety of topics and launch programs that entail
creation of policy tools and policy-making mechanisms that include wider
participation of the civil society.
In realizing its mission CIRP, brings together intellectuals, academics,
policy-makers, the NGOs, civil networks, public and private sector representatives
, the media, and the general public in order to address, discuss policy
issues and thus create active participation of civil society in the policy-making
process.
